Description
This unique town palais in the heart of Perinaldo is a jewel for those who appreciate historic properties. Built in 1650 as residence for Perinaldo’s founder, the palais towers on the village’s highest point with panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea glittering in the south and the majestic Maritime Alps in the north from all rooms and its five terraces measuring 130m2 in total.
The palais has been completely overhauled in 2005 and extended by a contemporary attic floor. The generous 270m2 living space offer spacious light flooded rooms combining the highest level of comfort with the charm of gone by times. Original details such as historic doors, wood panelling and frescos were lovingly restored and local artists contributed new accents of the highest standard. Best quality marble and slate floorings underline the luxurious ambience.
The unique location within the historic centre deserves a special mentioning:
The romantic “Carrugi” connects with the palais yet access by car for loading and unloading at the entrance is possible, making it a unique benefit right in the medieval centre.
A prestigious entrée leads into the dining room with open fireplace. Leading on from here the comfortable eat-in kitchen, a library (or guest room) and a guest bathroom follow.
The focal point of the palais is the splendid fresco room with a ceiling height of eight meters, private balcony with access to the baroque chapel and a beautiful terrace with views over the Maritime Alps. The adjacent guest wing with two bedrooms and bathroom offers privacy for family or guests. The highlight on this level is the spectacular south facing 62m2 terrace. A perfect spot where to spend relaxing evenings whilst overlooking the sea.
The light flooded upper floor connected by a flight of stairs offers a spacious living area, a master bedroom with hydro massage bathtub and a bathroom. From here, large windowpanes and a terrace allow to enjoy the panoramic views.
On the lower ground floor lie a further 70m2 vaulted cellar room perfectly suited as a wine cellar of workshop.
Miscellaneous
The Palais is in need of some maintenance work such as the insulation of the terraces and replacement windows.
The private access to the chapel is noted in the land registry making it a unique privilege.
Thanks to the generously proportioned rooms the palais provides a variety of options for use as a B&B or as attractive location for exhibitions or seminars. There is also the option to separate the two living areas in order to create a separate apartment on the upper floor level. The circuit points for a kitchen are already in place.
